Yesterday the Italian governement presented the content of a new Simplification Decree Law aimed at citizens and business. The new text eliminates stages in procedures for the payment of fines, declaration of a change of residence, renewal of a license; it also streamlines the procedures for entrepreneurs participating in a tender. The government stresses that the content of the measures was selected from proposals made by the public and that though not all suggestions were followed up, they may feed further simplification efforts.
